Gen. Waidi Shaibu as the brand new Chief of Army Staff.
In an announcement issued yesterday in Abuja, Bashiru described the appointment as well-deserving and “a proper peg in a proper gap”, noting that the timing couldn’t be extra apt given Nigeria’s present safety challenges.
Bashiru pressured that, “There wouldn’t have been any higher time than now,” he stated, because the nation grapples with escalating insecurity.
He nevertheless prolonged heartfelt congratulations to Main Common Waidi Shaibu on his appointment as Chief of Army Staff (COAS), the best rank in Nigeria’s Military.
