The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Caucus within the Bauchi State Home of Meeting has condemned allegations linking Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed to terrorism financing, describing the claims as baseless, deceptive and unsupported by information.
The caucus, led by the speaker of the Home, Hon. Abubakar Sulaiman, stated the allegations lacked credible proof and needs to be disregarded by the general public.
In keeping with the lawmakers, the claims are a calculated try and smear the picture of Governor Bala Mohammed and divert consideration from his administration’s ongoing developmental initiatives throughout the state.
Sulaiman reaffirmed the caucus’ complete confidence within the governor’s management, noting that Bala Mohammed has persistently demonstrated dedication to peace, safety, and good governance in Bauchi State.
In an announcement issued yesterday by the speaker’s spokesperson, Mukhtar Garba Kobi, the PDP legislators expressed disappointment over what they described because the rising pattern of accusing leaders with zero tolerance for violence and extremism of sponsoring terrorism.
“The PDP state legislators, led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y. Sulaiman, expressed their dismay over the way wherein leaders recognized for his or her stance towards violence are being falsely accused of sponsoring terrorism or associating with criminals,” the assertion stated.
“We condemn in totality the malicious prosecution and blatant falsehoods leveled towards our governor, portraying him as a sponsor of terrorism in Nigeria,” the assertion added.
Whereas acknowledging inside challenges inside the PDP, the caucus expressed optimism that the occasion would overcome its difficulties underneath the present management.
The speaker assured that members of the Home would proceed to work in unity and inside constitutional provisions to assist insurance policies and programmes aimed toward advancing the event of Bauchi State.
