The disaster within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) took a brand new dimension yesterday because the celebration’s South-South Zonal Government Committee (ZEC) suspended the zonal secretary, Chief Felix Omemu, for one month over alleged misconduct and unauthorised statements within the media discrediting the ZEC assembly in Benin.
Omemu had in an announcement issued in Yenagoa acknowledged that the assembly referred to as by Chief Dan Orbih was unlawful, stressing that according to the PDP structure, the ZEC assembly might solely be held with the approval of the zonal working committee.
Omemu disclosed that there was no such time that the Zonal Working Committee deliberated and agreed to convene a gathering of the Zonal Government Council.
On the South South Zonal Government Committee assembly in Benin, Rt. Hon. Amaewhule accused Chief Felix Omemu of of misconduct, breach of belief and fostering division amongst members.

Amaewhule described the zonal secretary’s motion as unlawful and an try to trigger disunity and dissuade members from attending the South South ZEC assembly in Benin.
Following the suspension, PDP zonal authorized adviser, George Turnah was instantly appointed to perform because the Performing zonal secretary .
