‘Scrap Coordinator Function In Edo First Woman’s Workplace’

The Edo Progressives Alliance (EPA) has known as on Governor Monday Okpebholo, to abolish the coordinator position within the Workplace of the First Woman.

The group advocated for the institution of a substantive first woman workplace to make sure real management and accountability.

At a press convention in Abuja, Convener of EPA, Comrade Reward Okiyi stated, “We implore the Governor to swiftly restore the First Woman’s workplace, because the Coordinator place is ineffective.”

She urged the governor to exchange the coordinator with a conventionally recognised First Woman and to amend the workplace’s duties and funding sources.

Okiyi burdened that the workplace of the First Woman has a recognised authority and can improve accountability and transparency in funding which aligns with world democratic requirements.

Moreover, she appealed to conventional rulers, together with the Oba of Benin, to intervene in governance issues that threaten Edo’s cultural values.

She stated the presence of people prioritising private agendas over the collective good is seen as a threat to the state’s repute for inclusivity.

The EPA emphasised the necessity for a visual advocate for girls’s points, highlighting {that a} First Woman may deal with systemic challenges akin to extreme taxation and infrastructure gaps.
