Edo Killings: Akpabio Condemns Ugly Homicide Of Travellers, Seeks Justice To Assuage Pains

President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has condemned the ugly homicide of 16 travellers on transit in Edo State, describing it as a mindless act of violence that’s unacceptable and has no place in society.

In a press release issued to journalists on Monday in Abuja by his particular assistant on media, Jackson Udom, Senator Akpabio stated: “I’m deeply saddened and disturbed by the ugly homicide of 16 travellers in Edo State. This mindless act of violence is unacceptable and has no place in our society.

“I strongly condemn this heinous crime and urge the related authorities to conduct an intensive investigation to make sure that the perpetrators of this barbaric act are delivered to justice and held accountable for his or her actions.

“As a individuals, we should work collectively to advertise peace, unity, and understanding. We can not afford to let such acts of violence divide us or undermine our collective efforts to construct a greater Nigeria.

“My heartfelt condolences go to the households of the victims, the federal government and other people of Edo State, and all these affected by this tragic incident. I pray that God grants the departed peaceable relaxation and provides their family members the energy to bear this irreparable loss.”
