The Governing Council of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete has at its authorised the promotion of three (3) employees to the rank of professor whereas twenty-five (25) others had been promoted to affiliate professor.
A press release signed by the Performing Director, College Relations, Dr Saeedat Aliyu mentioned the college ‘s Council ratified the appointments of the professors and affiliate professors at its 73rd assembly, held on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
The newly promoted professors, from the schools of Agriculture, Arts, and Training are Prof. Shehu Abdulganiyu Salau whose specialisation is Agricultural Manufacturing Economics, Prof. Moshood Zakariyah with specialisation in Sociolinguistics, and Professor Olayiwola Gafar Olorisade, a professor of Academic Administration.
The affiliate professors are from the schools of Agriculture, Arts, Training, Engineering and Expertise, Info and Communication Expertise, Regulation, Administration and Social Sciences, and Pure and Utilized Sciences.
The College of Agriculture has Dr. Latifat Olatinwo and Dr. Felicia Olooto, each Agriculture Extension and Rural Growth specialists; Dr. Olarinke Adeniyi, a specialist in Aquaculture Administration; Dr. James Adebayo Ojo with specialisation in Entomology; and Dr. Akeem Raji, a specialist in Meals Processing Expertise.
From the College of Arts, Dr. Yahya Toyin Muritala, an Arabic Syntax and Trendy Arabic Linguistics and Translation specialist; Dr. Yunusa Jamiu, a Trendy Arabic Literature specialist; Dr. Oluwatomi Adeoti, a Pragmatics and Discourse Research specialist; Dr. Sherifat Abubakar, a specialist in Islamic Household Regulation and Gender Research; and Dr. Khalid I Bello, a specialist in Islamic Economics had been ratified as affiliate professors.
The College of Engineering produced Dr. Olalekan Ogunbiyi with specialization in Energy System and Computerized Management Engineering; Dr. Rasheed Busari with specialisation in Farm Energy and Equipment, and Engineer Dr. Kamoru Oladosu, a specialist in Manufacturing and Renewable Vitality as affiliate professors.
Dr. Usman Tunde Saadu of the College of Training, who specialises in Academic Psychology and Dr. Ronke Seyi Babatunde of the College of Info and Communication Expertise, who specialises in Machine Studying and AI, had been confirmed by the Governing Council as affiliate professors.
Dr. Olariyike Akintoye and Dr. Abdullahi Ishola, each of the College of Regulation, and with specialisation in Property and Enterprise Regulation, and Islamic Regulation, respectively, had been additionally confirmed as affiliate professors.
The Council of the College equally ratified the promotion of Dr. Abdullahi Alabi, a Comparative Politics and Administration specialist; Dr. Idris Mohammed, a Growth Research and Native Authorities Administration specialist; and Dr. Ibrahim Salawu, a Public Coverage and Governance specialist to the rank of affiliate professor.
On the College of Pure and Utilized Science, Dr. Emmanuel Irondi, a Meals and Dietary Biochemistry specialist; Dr. Abdulazeez Jimoh, a Numerical Evaluation and Computational Arithmetic specialist; Dr. Kazeem Issa with specialisation in Numerical Evaluation; Dr. Wasiu Yahya, a Theoretical and Computational Physics specialist; and Dr. Abiodun Obembe, specialisation in Entomology had been promoted to the rank of affiliate professor.
