Suspended Rivers State governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has returned to the state after spending roughly two weeks on trip abroad.
That is as his Commissioner for Well being, Dr. Adaeze Oreh, has denied allegations that she was behind the walk-out staged by some Rivers girls on Mrs. Theresa Ibas, spouse of the state’s sole administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd) at an occasion in Port Harcourt on Friday.
Fubara, who was suspended on March 18, 2025 by President Bola Tinubu, touched down on the worldwide wing of the Port Harcourt Worldwide Airport, Omagwa, at about 7:00pm on Friday evening.
A video of the governor’s arrival exhibits him being obtained by some aides on the airport, after which he was led to a ready automobile, which sped away without delay.
In the meantime, Oreh, in a press release issued in Port Harcourt on Friday evening, challenged the group that laid the allegation, the Involved Rivers Youth Organisation (CRYO), to supply tangible proof to assist their assertions.
The Well being Commissioner mentioned: “The allegations levelled in opposition to me, Dr. Adaeze Oreh, relating to the supposed disruption of the First Woman’s empowerment program on Friday 2nd Might 2025, are solely unfounded, utterly false, and a product of the sick creativeness of hearsay mongers and battle entrepreneurs. They’re nothing greater than a feeble and mischievous try to tarnish my popularity and sow discord.
“I problem the “Involved Rivers Youth Organisation” (assuming such a physique actually exists) to supply tangible proof to assist their assertions. It’s important to base criticisms on information reasonably than hypothesis or puerile political agendas.
“I’ve neither sponsored nor will sponsor any actions geared toward embarrassing or disrupting the actions of the administration appointed by His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR to supervise the affairs of Rivers State following his declaration of a state of emergency on Tuesday 18th March 2025, and have reasonably spent the time of my suspension from workplace targeted on different endeavours and my doctoral research.
“I reaffirm my dedication to working tirelessly for the progress and growth of Rivers State. Moreover, I imagine that it’s essential for all stakeholders to advertise a tradition of reality, integrity, and respect in public discourse.
“Unsubstantiated wild claims undermine belief and hinder constructive engagement, and this isn’t what the state wants at this tough and delicate time.
“I urge everybody to give attention to points that unite us and foster a constructive, solution-driven dialogue for the betterment of our state, and urge everybody to work collectively to construct a brighter future for Rivers State, grounded in reality, transparency, and collective effort.”
