President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio has clarified as deceptive, experiences circulating on the social media and blogs, claiming that Senator Sani Musa was “rubbished” throughout a current plenary session for allegedly failing to outline the phrase “harmonised.”
In an announcement issued to journalists on Friday in Abuja, Akpabio dismissed these experiences as unfaithful, emphasising that no such incident happened.
He defined that when Senator Musa was referred to as upon, a degree of order was raised by Senator Abdul Ningi, requiring quick procedural consideration based on Senate guidelines.
In line with the Senate President, the session continued with none breach of decorum or embarrassment to Senator Musa.
He additional highlighted Senator Musa’s necessary contributions as Chairman of the Joint Committee on Finance and as Chairman of the Convention Committee that harmonised the Tax Reform Payments—an achievement praised by each chambers and key stakeholders.
Akpabio reaffirmed that the Senate operates on the ideas of respect, order, and integrity.
He urged media retailers to prioritise accountable journalism and to make sure accuracy within the protection of the Nationwide Meeting and its members and to be freed from sensationalism.
