The Lagos State authorities has onboarded 10 further Ministries, Departments and Companies (MDAs) onto its e-procurement platform, bringing the full variety of MDAs on the system to 169.
The onboarding was introduced on the opening of a four-day coaching programme organised by the Lagos State Public Procurement Company (PPA) for procurement officers of the newly added MDAs and new staff within the State.
Director-Common of the Company, Mr. Fatai Idowu Onafowote, stated the coaching was designed to assist individuals perceive the best way to function the digital procurement platform.
“The Lagos State Authorities has taken one other important step in the direction of the complete digitalisation of its public procurement system with the onboarding of 10 further Ministries, Departments and Companies (MDAs) of the State on the e-procurement platform,” they stated.
The Director-Common of the Company, Mr. Fatai Idowu Onafowote, stated the coaching of the ten further MDAs is designed to assist individuals perceive the best way to function the digital procurement platform.
“This coaching programme has been fastidiously designed to equip individuals with the technical competencies required to navigate and function the State’s e-procurement system successfully,” he stated.
He added that the guide procurement course of within the state was steadily being phased out as extra MDAs transfer to the e-platform.
Onafowote urged the trainees to take the periods severely and stay open to new know-how.
“Because the State Authorities continues to spend money on digital infrastructure and automation of its processes, Procurement Officers should stay proactive, self-motivated and open to steady studying,” he added.
The DG attributed the progress of the digital procurement system to the backing of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, saying the company’s success was because of the governor’s dedication to digital transformation.
