The Federal Authorities has directed all Ministries, Departments, and Companies (MDAs) inside the civil service to completely digitise their operations and undertake paperless workflows by the top of 2025.
This directive was issued by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, throughout a world press convention held in Abuja on Wednesday, forward of the 2025 Worldwide Civil Service Week and African Public Service Day, scheduled for June 25 to 26, in accordance with the Information Company of Nigeria (NAN).
Walson-Jack famous that the transition is a core goal of the Federal Civil Service Technique and Implementation Plan 2021–2025 (FCSSIP 25), which is about to conclude on December 31. The reform agenda emphasises digital transformation, improved efficiency administration, and extra environment friendly service supply throughout MDAs.
In line with Walson-Jack, the Workplace of the Head of the Civil Service had already gone paperless earlier than her assumption of workplace.
“Realising that FCSSIP 25 ends this 12 months, we resolved to speed up the implementation of its core pillars, particularly digitalisation.
“We’re urging all MDAs to go paperless. This isn’t only a directive; it’s one thing now we have already carried out.
“The Workplace of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has been paperless even earlier than I assumed workplace,” Walson-Jack said.
She added, “The race to Dec. 31 is on, and by the grace of God and with sustained effort, your complete civil service might be paperless by the top of 2025.”
The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation cited the Federal Ministry of Well being as the newest to implement an enterprise content material and Efficiency Administration System (PMS), making it the eleventh MDA to undertake such a system.
