The management of the Nationwide Affiliation of Nigerian College students (NANS) Joint Campus Council (JCC) within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has expressed deep concern over the extended closure of public main colleges within the FCT as a result of ongoing industrial motion by the Nigerian Union of Lecturers (NUT).
The physique has threatened mass protests if the federal government fails to reopen the faculties.
Chairman of NANS JCC within the FCT, Comrade Wele ThankGod Chimenem in a press assertion yesterday, stated training is a basic proper, and denying younger kids entry to studying for such an prolonged interval was unacceptable.

Public main colleges throughout the FCT have been shut down since March 24, 2025 as a result of space councils’ failure to implement the N70,000 minimal wage and settle long-standing wage arrears.
