The Senate has recommended President Bola Tinubu for allocating $3 billion for the long-awaited reconstruction of the Japanese Rail Line.
The Higher legislative chamber described the transfer as a crucial milestone in correcting Nigeria’s historic infrastructure imbalances and addressing longstanding regional issues within the South-East and North-East.
The commendation adopted the Tuesday’s approval by the Senate of President Tinubu’s $21 billion overseas mortgage request, which incorporates the earmarked $3 billion for the Japanese Hall railway mission, stretching from Port Harcourt to Maiduguri.
Talking beneath Order 42 (Private Rationalization), Senator Victor Umeh who mentioned the mission had been raised throughout earlier funds discussions,
