Lawmaker Desires Kwara Ex-Governor Adebayo Immortalised

A member of the Home of Representatives for the Ifelodun/Irepodun/Isin/ Ekiti/ Oke-Ero federal constituency of Kwara State, Hon. AbdulRaheem Olawuyi, has described Cornelius Adebayo, the state’s former governor, who died just lately, as a political colossus and an administrative enigma.

Olawuyi vowed to liaise with the federal and Kwara State governments to immortalise the legacy of Adebayo, who served each the state and nation meritoriously.

The lawmaker acknowledged this in Abuja when Omo Ibile Igbomina Discussion board, Abuja chapter, paid him a courtesy name in his workplace on the Nationwide Meeting advanced, Abuja.

Olawuyi harassed that he’ll take upon himself the duty of “Immortalising the legacy of the one-time governor of the state, each on the state and the federal ranges.

Talking on behalf of the discussion board’s management and members, the vp, Dr Dele Gege, described the late Adebayo as a freedom fighter par excellence and an advocate for the much less privileged and the oppressed.

Dele stated the deceased, who served because the minister of communications and transportation between 2003 and 2007, will likely be remembered for his patriotism and dedication to the progress of Kwara State and the Yoruba race.

Additionally talking, the overall secretary of Omo Ibile Igbomina, Abuja Chapter, Dr Fatai Jimoh, described Adebayo as a political sage, a bridge builder par excellence, and a socialite.
