Police Nab 2 Suspected Cultists, Recuperate Arms In Akwa Ibom

Operatives of the Akwa Ibom State Police Command have apprehended two suspected cultists and recovered firearms, ammunition, and different harmful objects throughout a raid on a lodge in Ikot-Udota group in Eket native authorities space.

“The Command was appearing on credible intelligence which indicated that an expelled college students and dropouts from a sure establishment (title withheld) had shaped legal gangs and was participating in a spread of illicit actions together with extortion, rape, and cybercrime.

“When operatives raided a lodge (title withheld), the operation led to the arrest of two suspects – Uwemedimo Michael Udah, 29, from Uyo LGA and Prince Emmanuel Amasi-Tito, 32, from Eleme LGA in Rivers State,” the PPRO stated.

DSP John defined that through the arrest, operatives recovered one English Beretta pistol with three rounds of 9mm stay ammunition.

She listed different incriminating objects recovered from the suspects to incorporate one laptop computer, two Android telephones, an MTN web router, a cocktail of suspected drug concoctions and three copies of Energy-of-Attornies suspected to be stolen.
