Olubadan: Ladoja’s Coronation Begins September 22

Actions for the coronation of the Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja will start on September 22 with an interdenominational service on the Olubadan Palace, Oke Aremo in Ibadan.

Oyo State Commissioner for Data, Prince Dotun Oyelade introduced this on the inaugural committee assembly resulting in the coronation of the forty fourth Olubadan, held underneath the chairmanship of Chief Bayo Oyero.

Oyelade mentioned the interdenominational service is organised by the Central Council for Ibadan Indigenes, (CCII).

The assembly, which had the Commissioner for Native Authorities and Chieftaincy Issues, Demola Ojo in attendance deliberated on the September 26 occasion.

Through the assembly, a one-week Programme of actions was agreed upon.

Oyelade mentioned the interdenominational service can be adopted with Cultural Day on Tuesday, adopted by coronation lecture to be delivered by Professor Toyin Falola.

This shall be adopted on Thursday by a Mega Reward worship on the Civic Centre Idi Ape whereas the coronation of the brand new Olubadan will happen at Mapo Hall on Friday, September 26.
