Safety operatives trying to board a home flight with over $6.1 million in money have been arrested on Saturday on the Murtala Muhammed Worldwide Airport Terminal 2 (MM2) in Ikeja, Lagos.
The suspects whose actual quantity remained unclear have been intercepted throughout routine safety checks as they tried to board an Aero Contractors flight.
In keeping with a number of airport sources, the operatives have been discovered with a number of bins filled with undeclared US {dollars}.

Sanusi emphasised that the airline has strict procedures for dealing with legislation enforcement personnel transporting suspects or proof.
He mentioned: “In the event that they have been transporting a suspect, they have been required to inform us upfront. There are commonplace procedures for transferring suspects—we don’t combine them with common passengers. There are boarding, deboarding, and in-flight protocols that have to be adopted in such circumstances. Since they didn’t observe these procedures, they weren’t allowed to board, they usually finally left.”
Repeated makes an attempt to succeed in the FAAN spokesperson, Henry Agbebire, and the Director of Aviation Safety, Igbafe Afegbai, have been unsuccessful as they didn’t reply to calls or messages.
