President Bola Tinubu has sworn in Professor Joash Amupitan as Chairman of the Impartial Nationwide Electoral Fee (INEC).
The swearing-in ceremony occurred on the State Home in Abuja on Thursday, every week after the Senate confirmed Amupitan’s appointment on October 16.
President Tinubu charged the brand new INEC boss to guard the integrity of Nigeria’s electoral course of and strengthen the establishment’s capability to ship credible elections.
Amupitan’s appointment adopted his affirmation by the Senate after a screening session that assessed his competence and imaginative and prescient for the fee.
