The Federal Authorities has begun disbursing funds to over 9,000 workers members of tertiary establishments beneath the newly established Tertiary Establishment Workers Help Fund (TISSF).

The Tertiary Establishment Workers Help Fund (TISSF) was launched in August 2025 as a part of the Federal Authorities’s Nigerian Schooling Sector Renewal Initiative (NESRI).
The TISSF portal formally opened in September 2025 to allow tertiary establishment workers to use for interest-free loans capped at 33.3 per cent of their gross annual wage. Eligible candidates embrace confirmed full-time tutorial and non-academic workers of federal and state universities, polytechnics, and faculties of training who’ve no less than 5 years remaining earlier than retirement.
