PINL and MaCaw Donate Aid Supplies to Military Units in Rivers State Bayelsa

As part of its corporate social responsibility efforts, PINL, in partnership with MaCaw Energy Services Limited, donated various aid supplies to military units in Rivers and Bayelsa states.

The units receiving the donations included the 26th Support Engineering Regiment and the 29th Battalion at Camp Borie in Rivers State, and the naval vessels (NNS Soroh) and the 16th Battalion stationed in Port Harcourt State. Bayelsa The donations included 2,000 bags of rice and other necessities, ready to be distributed to designated security units. According to the participating companies, each donation bag contained practical items such as rice, flashlights, raincoats, shopping bags, and water bottles.

Udoka Anyabolu, Project Manager at MaCaw Energy Services Limited, who coordinated the distribution of the donations, told reporters that the donations symbolized gratitude and cooperation.

Anyabolu stated that the initiative focuses on strengthening cooperation with security agencies and local partners to maintain the security and stability of Nigeria’s energy infrastructure.

“Its aim is to recognize and support the ongoing efforts of security agencies to protect national energy assets, strengthen cooperation and good relations between PINL, Macaw, and the surrounding communities, raise public awareness, and promote sustainable participation across all operational areas.”

He said, “This initiative is based on the shared goal of promoting activities to protect and maintain national assets, while supporting proactive public action to strengthen community support for critical energy infrastructure.”

Anyabolu added that the event is held four times a year, each quarter covering different regions and security agencies to ensure continued engagement and focus. On behalf of the beneficiaries, Captain A.O. Akinbanmi of the NNS Soroh thanked Macaw Energy Resources Ltd. and PINL for their support. He stated that this reflects the smooth cooperation between national security agencies and companies, as well as the region’s zero-violation record for several months. The captain commended the companies’ goodwill and assured them that this would inspire sailors and officers to do their utmost to protect their respective units’ oil and gas infrastructure. Battalion Administrator Lager Bori, on behalf of the PINL battalion’s personnel, expressed gratitude: “This support is an affirmation of the troops deployed throughout the PINL pipeline infrastructure.” This demonstrates the positive and friendly relationship between the troops deployed throughout PINL and PINL management.
