Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has fired again at critics questioning why his sons accompany him on each native and overseas official journeys, insisting that he has the constitutional proper to journey with anybody together with his household.
Talking on Channels Tv’s ‘Politics Immediately’ on Monday night time, Wike stated there was no legislation prohibiting his sons from becoming a member of him on official assignments, describing the general public criticism as baseless and misplaced.
“What legislation says, that my sons shouldn’t journey? Let the FCT say the place they paid ₦1,” he stated.
“What official matter? Did they signal any doc? It doesn’t should be a private journey. What’s unsuitable? I can journey with anyone from the FCT. I can journey with anyone in Nigeria. I’ve that proper.”
The previous Rivers State governor defined that his sons, each grasp’s diploma holders, accompany him for publicity and to raised perceive governance and management.
