The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested 5 suspects for allegedly fraudulently altering the names of 1,000 beneficiaries of Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Company (PAWECA) in Adamawa State.
Director Common of the Company, Mr Michael Zira confirmed to LEADERSHIP in Yola, that one other 7,001 pretend registration types had been detected.
Moreover, he stated 1,560 supposed beneficiaries had been blocked by the Company attributable to doubtful tendencies uncovered by the company.
Zira stated preparations have been concluded for the disbursement of N5 billion to 100,000 beneficiaries in December 2025.
