President Bola Tinubu, on Thursday, swore in two newly appointed ministers — Dr Bernard Mohammed Doro and Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh — at a short ceremony held contained in the Council Chamber of the State Home, Abuja.
The swearing-in came about shortly earlier than the graduation of the Federal Government Council (FEC) assembly presided over by the President.
Doro, a pharmacist and lawyer from Plateau State, replaces Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Discount, who resigned after rising because the Nationwide Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Each Doro and Yilwatda hail from Plateau State.
His nomination was confirmed by the Senate in late October.
Udeh, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) from Enugu State, takes over the portfolio vacated by former Minister of Science, Innovation and Know-how, Uche Nnaji, who resigned following allegations of certificates forgery.
Udeh’s appointment was confirmed by the Senate earlier on Thursday after a short screening throughout plenary. Till his elevation to the federal cupboard, he served because the Lawyer-Basic and Commissioner for Justice in Enugu State.
