Soba native authorities space of Kaduna State has been named the Finest Performing Native Authorities in Agriculture by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Meals Safety, in recognition of its excellent contributions to meals manufacturing and rural growth.
The award was offered on the finish of the forty seventh Nationwide Council on Agriculture and Meals Safety (NCAFS) which held in Kaduna.
It celebrated Soba LGA’s exceptional achievements in agricultural transformation and its assist for the state and nation’s meals safety agenda.
In line with the quotation accompanying the award, Soba stood out for its efficient farmer assist programmes, improved extension providers and spectacular productiveness beneficial properties, which have boosted native meals manufacturing and improved the livelihoods of rural farmers.
Reacting to the popularity, Soba council chairman, Hon. Muhammad Lawal Shehu (Molash), devoted the award to Governor Uba Sani, crediting the governor’s visionary agricultural insurance policies and incentives for the success recorded throughout the council.
He famous that the distribution of free fertiliser, pesticides, weedicides, tractors and different farming inputs by the state authorities had drastically enhanced productiveness and inspired smallholder farmers to develop cultivation.
Hon. Shehu reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to deepening agricultural reform, increasing mechanised farming, and selling sustainable practices that may make Soba a mannequin for rural growth and meals sufficiency in Nigeria.
