Two fireplace incidents in Ilorin, Kwara State on Friday and yesterday utterly razed a yam flour firm and a printing press.
The primary outbreak occurred at Kunzol Multi-Sector Nigeria Restricted, Kilanko–Agbonka space in Ilorin South native authorities space at about 11pm on Friday whereas the opposite occurred at Unik AJ Prints positioned alongside Opomalu highway in Ilorin East native authorities space.
The spokesman of the State Fireplace Service, Hassan Adekunle who confirmed the 2 fireplace outbreaks yesterday stated the yam flour and crunchy gari firm suffered intensive damages as your entire manufacturing unit space was engulfed by the blaze.
He stated preliminary investigation revealed that the fireplace was triggered by remnants of unquenched fireplace, which ignited flamable supplies in shut proximity, resulting in fast escalation.
Adekunle stated the fireplace outbreak at Unik AJ Prints which occurred at about 3.15pm yesterday concerned a storey constructing housing two giant halls, all of which have been affected by the fireplace, together with printing machines and different manufacturing supplies.
“Firefighters arrived promptly and labored rigorously underneath difficult early-morning situations to comprise the blaze.
“Their swift and decided efforts efficiently prevented the fireplace from spreading to adjoining buildings, averting additional injury within the densely constructed space.
“Preliminary findings indicated that the fireplace was suspected to have been brought on by a spark from the inverter system, which subsequently ignited close by flamable supplies,” he added.
