Kwara Governor Mourns Segun Awolowo

Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, mentioned he was heartbroken over the demise of his buddy and affiliate, Mr. Segun Awolowo Jr.

Segun, a two-term former government director of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council, was the grandson of the late sage, Obafemi Awolowo.

He died on Thursday, November 20, 2025, on the age of 62.

Governor AbdulRazaq, in a press release signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaiye, described the deceased as a “nice buddy, an awesome public servant, and a jolly-good fellow whose firm everybody cherished.”

He added that his demise is actually devastating, saying that “he will probably be sorely missed for each good factor that he stood for.”

AbdulRazaq urged household, buddies, and associates of the deceased to be comforted by his positive legacies of wonderful public service, his devotion to household and buddies, and his service to the nation at completely different instances.

He prayed to God to grant repose to his soul and to consolation his spouse, kids, and aged mom.
