Bishop David Oyedepo has sharply criticised latest claims that there is no such thing as a ongoing genocide in components of Nigeria, questioning how such a conclusion might be made within the face of repeated violent assaults.
He referenced the latest assault on a Christ Apostolic Church congregation, expressing disbelief that anybody would downplay the severity of such incidents.
Oyedepo questions judgement of critics
The cleric accused these denying the disaster of ignoring actuality and deceptive the general public, describing them as folks making an attempt to distort the reality regardless of overwhelming proof.
He calls on the wrath of God over lie peddlers
He pressured that such acts of misinformation are spiritually harmful, calling for divine intervention in opposition to these he believes are deliberately deceiving Nigerians.
Oyedepo’s remarks come amid rising nationwide outrage over renewed assaults on rural communities and spiritual centres, with many voters demanding transparency, accountability, and pressing authorities motion.
