A former member of the Home of Representatives, Hon. Ogbonna Nwuke, on Monday escaped dying by whiskers after his sport utility automobile (SUV) burst into flames in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital.
Nwuke, who represented Etche/Omuma Federal Constituency within the Home of Representatives between 2011 and 2015, was driving himself when the incident occurred alongside the Japanese By-pass within the state capital.
Confirming the incident to LEADERSHIP in a phone chat, the previous lawmaker stated, “I used to be driving to Trans Amadi when the incident occurred.
“Actually, it occurred in entrance of Hypercity in Japanese By-pass. However I thank God for the reward of life. I thank God that I survived.”
Writing on her official Fb web page, Nwuke’s eldest daughter, Ebony, stated, “Right now, God snatched my father from the very jaws of dying.
