Justin Bieber’s ‘Beauty And A Beat’ Hits Global No. 1 After Coachella Surge

Justin Bieber’s Coachella resurgence is making waves globally, as his hit single ‘Beauty and a Beat,’ featuring Nicki Minaj, has climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200.

The 2012 track rose to the top spot following renewed attention from Bieber’s performances at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April, where he blended live renditions with clips of his early hits. The song also secured a second consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart.

According to Luminate, ‘Beauty and a Beat’ recorded 69.6 million streams and 13,000 units sold between April 24 and 30, despite slight declines in both metrics. The track originally peaked at No. 6 on the U.S.-based Billboard Hot 100 in 2012.

The achievement marks Bieber’s third No. 1 on the Global 200 chart since its launch in 2020, following ‘Stay’ with The Kid LAROI and ‘Peaches,’ featuring Daniel Caesar and Giveon. It also earns Minaj her first chart-topper on the ranking.

Meanwhile, Michael Jackson’s classic ‘Billie Jean’ has surged back into the top 10 of both global charts, fueled by renewed interest following the release of the biographical film Michael.

Notably, ‘Beauty and a Beat’ becomes one of the few non-holiday songs to reach No. 1 on the Global 200 more than a decade after its release, joining Kate Bush’s ‘Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)’, which topped the chart in 2022 after its feature in Netflix’s Stranger Things.
