Reps’ Member Lauded Over Empowerment Programmes

Vice chairman of the House Committee on Finance, Hon. Saidu Musa Abdullahi, has been applauded for his impactful humanitarian and empowerment programmes in Nigeria.

The commendation came from Jewel Lifestyle Magazine, which noted that despite facing criticisms and, at times, underappreciation, Abdullahi had continued to distinguish himself through consistent service and people-oriented initiatives.

According to the magazine, Abdullahi’s commitment to lifting lives did not begin in public office; it dates back to his earlier years as an entrepreneur, reflecting a long-standing dedication to human capital development.

This consistency has earned him respect far beyond the Bida, Gbako and Katcha Federal Constituency, even among those who may not always share his political views.

As a legislator, Abdullahi has matched promises with tangible results. From large-scale empowerment initiatives to strategic investments in human capital, he has delivered measurable dividends of democracy to his constituents.

With the 2027 elections approaching, supporters argue that consolidating these gains through a third term would further advance the constituency’s development.

In Nigeria’s political landscape, influence, resources, and grassroots connections often determine visibility. Under Abdullahi, popularly known as Gwarzon Nupe Bida, Gbako, and Katcha have not only gained recognition but have also experienced meaningful progress.

His impact is evident in the lives of ordinary citizens. Individuals without prior access to opportunities have secured stable, pensionable jobs in federal ministries and agencies, while others have benefited from business grants and educational support. These interventions have helped reduce unemployment and improve livelihoods across the constituency.

While public service remains a demanding and often thankless endeavor, Abdullahi’s approach underscores the importance of competence, integrity, and people-focused leadership in sustaining democracy.

Jewel Lifestyle Magazine, a Nigerian publication dedicated to highlighting entrepreneurship, leadership, fashion, and lifestyle, emphasised that Abdullahi’s story aligns with its mission of promoting youth empowerment and human capital development.
