Group Applauds Inter-Agency Synergy In Security Operations

The Community Safety Vanguard has commended the growing collaboration among Nigeria’s security agencies, describing recent intelligence-led operations as a major boost in the fight against insurgency and terrorism.

In a statement issued by its national coordinator, Abbas Enemaku Johnson, the group particularly praised the national security adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, for fostering what it called unprecedented inter-agency synergy in the country’s security architecture.

The organisation noted that coordinated intelligence-driven operations in recent months have led to the interception and seizure of large consignments of arms, ammunition, fuel, communication gadgets and other logistics intended for terrorist groups.

According to the group, these efforts have significantly disrupted the supply chains sustaining insurgent activities in several parts of the country.

It attributed the successes to improved cooperation among key security institutions, including the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services, the Defence Intelligence Agency and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.

“The level of coordination we are witnessing is commendable and has translated into tangible results on the frontline,” the group stated, noting that enhanced intelligence sharing has strengthened operational efficiency among the agencies.

While applauding the progress made, the group urged the Federal Government to prioritize the welfare of security personnel, stressing that improved welfare remains critical to sustaining morale in ongoing operations.

It called for the establishment of a comprehensive and sustainable insurance scheme for frontline personnel to guarantee long-term support for their families, including access to education, healthcare and livelihood opportunities.

The group also advocated a more proactive security framework focused on preventing attacks through intelligence gathering, rather than responding after incidents occur.

It further expressed support for the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that recent initiatives aimed at boosting the morale of security personnel reflect a commitment to strengthening national security.

The organization reaffirmed its readiness to support efforts to restore lasting peace and stability across the country.
