2027: Akwa Ibom APC Inaugurates Organising Committee For Primaries

Ahead of the general elections, the Akwa Ibom State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has constituted a Local Organising Committee (LOC) to oversee the conduct of the party’s forthcoming primaries.

The 10 – member committee has the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prince Enobong Uwah, as Chairman.

The naming of the committee, LEADERSHIP gathered, followed resolutions reached at a stakeholders’ meeting of the party held in Uyo, the state capital, where the APC also passed a vote of confidence on Governor Umo Eno, for his inclusive leadership style and commitment to political stability in Akwa Ibom.

The state publicity secretary of the party, Chief Patrick Edeke, who spoke on the outcome of the summit commended Governor Eno, for his “visionary leadership, uncommon humility and statesmanship,” noting that his approach to governance has continued to attract goodwill across political party lines and strengthen unity within the party and the state.

The party said the success recorded at the recent stakeholders’ meeting reflected the governor’s “political maturity, unifying spirit and commitment to the collective interest of the APC in Akwa Ibom State.”

They also acknowledged the role of the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, describing him as a strong pillar of the party whose experience, influence and continued support have remained invaluable to the growth of the APC in the state and the country.

To steer the committee as unveiled by the party include Prince Enobong Uwah as Chairman; and Envoy Nsentip Akpabio, who will serve as Secretary.

Other members are Rt. Hon. KufreAbasi Edidem, Deputy Assembly Speaker; Hon. Frank Archibong, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; Engr. Uwem Okoko, CEO of HENSEK Engineering; Chief Uno Etim Uno, Chairman, Urueffong-Oruko local government area; Arc. Ubokutom Nya, and Barr. Kemfon Neke and Obongawan Geraldine Etuk as well as Hon. Owoidighe Ekpoattai.
