The coordinator of the Relax Tinubu is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN), Mr Okunboro Osaretin, has commended the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South South geopolitical zone for the peaceful and successful conduct of primaries in the region.
In a statement issued in Abuja, the group said the successful conduct of the primaries was a pointer to the fact that it is going into the election united and purposeful.
“On behalf of the RTIFN in the South South, I wish to congratulate the leadership of the APC in our region for the focused leadership they provided that led to the peaceful conduct of the primaries.
“Though this did not come to us as a surprise, it reinforces our often-stated position that the South South is solidly behind President Tinubu. On our part, we will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that we mobilise the electorate in the region to massively vote for President Tinubu in 2027,” he said.
Speaking on why President Tinubu remains the candidate to beat, Osaretin said in three years, the President has laid the foundation that has properly put the nation on the path to greatness.
“As a great leader that he is, the President has taken hard and difficult decisions that have truly put the country on a solid foundation for greatness. The pain being endured by Nigerians at the moment is like labour pain.
“You must endure labour pain in order to give birth to a child. Nigerians will be better off, and our country is being positioned to achieve its real potential,” he said.
On insecurity in the country, Osaretin said Nigeria’s partnership with the United States of America to address the security challenge in the country is a pointer to President Tinubu’s visionary leadership.
“That partnership is already bearing fruit. The recent elimination of ISIS’ number two man is a clear indication that better things lie ahead. Nigerians must rally round President Tinubu in order to get the desired results. With him, we will overcome the security challenge in the country,” he said.
