The Grassroots Mobilization Network (GMN), a support group of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has criticised comments by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, that President Bola Tinubu is “taking bullets” on behalf of Nigerians.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Secretary General of the Network, Usman Bala Idris, said many Nigerians were facing economic difficulties, including rising living costs, inflation and currency instability.
He argued that public officials should focus on addressing economic and security challenges confronting the country.
Idris also disagreed with Onanuga’s remarks, saying many citizens were struggling with the effects of recent economic policies.
The group called for greater attention to issues affecting ordinary Nigerians.
