Tom Holland Sweetly Calls Zendaya His “Wife” As He Shares How She Pushed Him To Join The Odyssey

Tom Holland has once again melted fans’ hearts after affectionately referring to Zendaya as his “wife” while discussing his latest film, The Odyssey.

Speaking during an appearance on the UK-based Dish podcast, hosted by DJ Nick Grimshaw and chef Angela Hartnett, the 30-year-old actor took part in a light-hearted quick-fire round. When asked who he would most like to enjoy a holiday in Greece with, Holland replied without hesitation: “I think probably my wife would be pretty good.”

He then joked that choosing anyone else would be awkward, adding, “It would be a bit strange if I went, ‘Sorry, babe, I’m gonna take Matt [Damon] actually.’” Grimshaw laughed along, imagining Holland spending “10 days in Mykonos with Matt Damon.”

The actor has also shared how Zendaya influenced one of the biggest career decisions of his life. During a conversation with director Christopher Nolan and co-stars Matt Damon and Anne Hathaway about The Odyssey, Holland revealed that he had discussed the film offer with her before accepting the role of Telemachus.

“I sat down with Z and was like, ‘I’ve been offered this movie,’” he recalled. After learning it was a Christopher Nolan project, Zendaya jokingly told him, “I’ll leave you if you don’t do The Odyssey,” prompting laughter from Nolan and the cast. The director responded with a smile, “Well, thank you to her.”

Holland confirmed last month that he and Zendaya had tied the knot. Since then, he has made several affectionate public references to her as his wife while promoting The Odyssey.
