A political support group, YARI 774 for Asiwaju Initiative, has begun mobilisation across the country ahead of the 2027 general elections, targeting 10 million votes for President Bola Tinubu and former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari.
The group announced the mobilisation plan at its maiden National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held yesterday in Abuja.
The National Coordinator of the initiative, Rt. Hon. Olufemi Richard Bamisile, said the group would establish structures across the 774 local government areas to mobilise support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidates.
He said the group would focus on grassroots engagement, voter education and mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.
Bamisile urged members to establish structures at the state, local government, ward and polling unit levels, stressing that effective organisation and sustained grassroots engagement would be critical to the group’s electoral objectives.
He also said the initiative would support the administration of President Tinubu and mobilise voters around the government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Bamisile described Senator Yari as an experienced politician with a strong grassroots network, saying his political structure would be useful to the group’s mobilisation efforts.
In his address, the Chairman and Convener of the initiative, Chief Ibrahim Emokpaire, said the organisation would operate across the 774 local government areas, with its NEC responsible for coordinating its activities ahead of the elections.
He said the group would focus on grassroots mobilisation, voter education, youth engagement, civic participation and community outreach.
Emokpaire said the initiative was targeting at least 10 million votes for Tinubu and Yari in the 2027 elections.
He urged members to intensify voter education and registration campaigns and encourage citizens to participate in the electoral process.
He added that the organisation would establish structures from the ward level to the national level to facilitate communication between communities and political leaders.
