APC Group Targets 10 Million Votes For Tinubu

A political support group, YARI 774 for Asiwaju Initiative, has launched a nationwide grassroots mobilisation campaign for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, with a target of delivering at least 10 million votes for the President and former Zamfara State governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari.

The group unveiled its strategy at its maiden National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held yesterday in Abuja, where its national coordinator, Rt. Hon. Olufemi Richard Bamisile, and the chairman/convener, Chief Ibrahim Emokpaire, urged members to build structures across Nigeria’s 774 local government areas to strengthen support for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking at the meeting, Bamisile described the gathering as the formal take-off of a nationwide political movement aimed at securing President Tinubu’s second term and ensuring electoral victories for the APC.

“Today is not just another meeting – it is the beginning of a national movement that will mobilise millions of Nigerians across the 774 Local Government Areas for the successful re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027 and ensure overwhelming victories for our great party, the APC, at all levels,” he said.

He thanked members for the confidence reposed in him as National Coordinator and pledged to build what he described as the strongest grassroots political structure in the country.

“I accept this responsibility with humility, dedication and an unwavering determination to justify the confidence reposed in me. I pledge to work with every member of this movement to build the strongest grassroots political structure Nigeria has ever witnessed,” Bamisile stated.

The National Coordinator commended President Tinubu’s administration for pursuing bold economic and structural reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda, saying the policies were laying the foundation for long-term economic growth, improved infrastructure, enhanced security and sustainable development.

He also described Senator Abdulaziz Yari as an experienced administrator and grassroots mobiliser whose political network would strengthen the movement’s nationwide campaign.

According to him, the success of the initiative would depend on unity, discipline and sustained grassroots engagement.

“Elections are not won by slogans alone; they are won through effective organisation, sustained grassroots engagement and unwavering commitment. We must therefore put aside personal ambitions, avoid division and embrace the spirit of teamwork,” he said.

Bamisile urged members to establish active structures in every state, local government, ward and polling unit while engaging communities and promoting the achievements of the Tinubu administration.

In his address, the Chairman and Convener of the initiative, Chief Ibrahim Emokpaire, said the organisation was conceived as more than a political support group, describing it as a people-driven movement committed to inclusive governance, community development and grassroots political participation.

He said the newly inaugurated NEC would serve as the engine room for formulating electoral strategies ahead of the 2027 elections.

“Our vision is to create a vibrant, grassroots-driven movement across all 774 local government areas of Nigeria, promoting political participation, community development, national unity and inclusive engagement,” he said.

Emokpaire explained that the movement would focus on grassroots empowerment, youth development, civic engagement, community development, interfaith harmony and strategic communication in support of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

He charged members to intensify voter education and voter registration campaigns, saying the group was targeting at least 10 million votes for President Tinubu and Senator Yari.

“We must actively guide our citizens to participate fully in the electoral process, ensuring that an unprecedented 10 million votes are delivered for the benefit of both our principals, President Bola Tinubu and Senator Abdulaziz Yari,” he said.

Emokpaire noted that the initiative was established to bridge the gap between government and citizens by creating functional political structures from the ward level to the national level and ensuring that the concerns of ordinary Nigerians are communicated to political leaders.

He urged members to remain steadfast despite expected political challenges, stressing that integrity, accountability and selfless service must remain the guiding principles of the organisation.
