Nigerian content creator and social media personality Emmanuel Obruste, popularly known as GehGeh, has denied reports claiming he recently got married, insisting that the viral wedding photos and videos circulating online were created using artificial intelligence (AI).
The rumours gained traction after images and clips surfaced on social media showing the outspoken influencer in traditional wedding attire alongside a woman identified by some online users as Mary during what appeared to be a traditional marriage ceremony in Minna, Niger State.
The posts sparked mixed reactions, with some fans congratulating GehGeh while others accused him of abandoning his outspoken views on marriage and relationships.
Reacting in a video shared on social media, GehGeh dismissed the claims, alleging that the viral content was fabricated by people trying to tarnish his image because of his controversial opinions.
“Nothing wey Nigerian women never do take bring me down. Na AI. Una wan come edit me into marriage. I am now a married man. AI, thank you for organizing marriage on my behalf,” he said in Pidgin.
He further claimed that some women were targeting him because of his stance on marriage, adding that the trending visuals were not real.
GehGeh also urged social media users to be cautious about believing everything they see online, saying advances in artificial intelligence have made it increasingly difficult to distinguish genuine content from manipulated images and videos.
