A pro-All Progressives Congress (APC) support group, the Tinubu/Dikko Again 2027 Women and Youth Centre, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the recruitment of 28,000 personnel into the Nigerian Army, describing the move as a major step towards strengthening national security.
The group gave the commendation during its stakeholders’ meeting held on Sunday, July 26, 2026, where it also reaffirmed its commitment to mobilising grassroots support for President Tinubu, Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda and all APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement signed by its director general, Hon. Salisu Yusuf Majigiri, the Centre said the President’s approval for the recruitment of 28,000 Army personnel represents the largest military expansion in recent years and demonstrates the federal government’s resolve to address the country’s security challenges.
The group also praised President Tinubu for approving the establishment of four additional Nigerian Army divisions, noting that three of the new formations will be located in northern Nigeria.
According to the statement, the divisions include the 5 Division in Makurdi, Benue State, the 9 Division in Ilorin, Kwara State, and the 10 Division in Jalingo, Taraba State.
It said the decision reflects the administration’s commitment to improving security and protecting lives and property, particularly in northern Nigeria.
The Centre further applauded the Federal Government for recently launching a $3.05 billion package of five coordinated social protection and human capital development initiatives.
The programmes include the Nigeria Community Action for Resilience and Economic Stimulus (NG-CARES), the Solutions for Internally Displaced and Host Communities (SOLID) programme, and the Human Capital Opportunities for Prosperity and Equity (HOPE) package.
The group also commended Governor Radda for what it described as remarkable achievements in Katsina State, particularly in the areas of security, education, healthcare, agriculture and infrastructure.
It praised the governor’s recent executive order aimed at strengthening the fight against insecurity, saying the measures have begun yielding positive results during the current farming season.
The Centre also acknowledged the recruitment of 2,158 additional teachers by the Katsina State Government, bringing the total number employed under the Radda administration to 9,481 since its inauguration.
According to the group, the administration’s education reforms have positioned Katsina as a reference point for educational development in Nigeria.
The stakeholders’ meeting, attended by representatives from 6,652 polling units, 361 wards and the 34 local government areas of Katsina State, resolved to intensify grassroots mobilisation to ensure victory for President Tinubu, Governor Radda and all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
The Tinubu/Dikko Again 2027 Women and Youth Centre was established by former Katsina State Governor, Dr. Ibrahim Shehu Shema, who serves as the group’s Grand Patron. The organisation said it remains committed to mobilising women and youths across Katsina State in support of the APC ahead of the 2027 polls.
