ADC Chieftain Task Tinubu on Economy, Full Implementation Of Disability Act

The National Leader of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs,), of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Chike Okogwu, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to give greater attention to addressing the country’s economic and social challenges.

Dr. Okogwu in a statement issued on Saturday, said the government’s priority should be on issues affecting the daily lives of Nigerians, including inflation, unemployment and  insecurity .

The ADC chieftain also stated  the challenges facing Persons with Disabilities which  he said to  include limited access to healthcare, education, transportation, employment and other public services.

“Government at all levels should fully implement the Disability Act and promote policies that encourage inclusion and equal opportunities for persons living with disabilities.”he said

He  said the ADC supports policies that promote accessible infrastructure, quality education, improved healthcare, employment opportunities and greater participation of Persons with Disabilities in governance.

“Leaders would be remembered for improving the lives of citizens, strengthening institutions and promoting national unity.”he stated
