The shocking news of the demise of Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba, which filtered in on Wednesday, indeed has put the movie industry into mourning.
The actress’s last post on her WhatsApp status made last night has got netizens and her fans talking.
LEADERSHIP had reported the sad news of her death. Her colleague and friend, Alesh Sanni, shared a sad post announcing her demise, saying he couldn’t sleep, noting how he had an amazing time and good memories with her. Telling her to rest well, he said he was short of words.
Also, Foluke Daramola-Salako shared the news with an emoji announcing her death.
The late actress, according to her inner circle, had shared a post about “Ogo Tuntun”, meaning new glory, which made different persons comment that perhaps she knew she was transiting.
Revealing the circumstances surrounding the late actress’s message, an unidentified woman said she found out when she called Temitooe’s number.
According to her, “When I heard about Tope Osoba’s demise, I called her number and a woman picked. She confirmed Tope had passed away. I then told the woman that she posted ‘OGO TUNTUN’ on her WhatsApp status at about 7 pm. The woman said it was when they were rushing her to the hospital that she posted that status in the car.”

Temitope Osoba, in an interview on Oyinmomo TV, had opened up on her battle with cancer, revealing that doctors told her she wouldn’t be able to conceive for the next 5 years because of the medications she had to take. Temitope said hearing that broke her down as she noted how she was 38 and had to wait till her 40s before conceiving.
While celebrating her 40th birthday, Osoba opened up about surviving cancer, revealing that it changed her. She said she carries the scars, but also carries the lessons. Temitope added that she is celebrating life in a way she never had before.
