Late Nollywood Actress Tope Osoba Set For Burial In Ogun State

The family of the late Nollywood actress, Temitope Osoba, popularly known as Tope Osoba, has announced the burial arrangements for her funeral.

In a statement shared on her official Instagram page on Friday, the family stated that Osoba will be laid to rest on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Saint James Anglican Church in Iperu Remo, Ogun State.

The statement also requested that mourners attending the service wear white attire.

The update follows an earlier announcement by her friends regarding a candlelight procession and tribute night in her honour. The event, titled “An Evening of Love, Music & Memories,” is scheduled for Tuesday, August 11, at LTV 8, Blue Roof, Ikeja, Lagos.

Osoba passed away at the age of 40, with her death announced on Wednesday by her colleague, Alesh Sanni.

The actress, who starred in several Yoruba-language films, had previously spoken publicly about her fight with cancer two years ago before returning to acting in August 2025.

Meanwhile, the family has urged the public to ignore rumors surrounding her passing and requested privacy as they mourn her loss.
