Reese Witherspoon Gives Update After Father Is Hospitalised Following Fall

Reese Witherspoon has reassured fans about her father, John Draper Witherspoon, after the 84-year-old was rushed to hospital following a fall.

The actress shared an update on her Instagram Stories on Friday, saying her father was now doing well and receiving care from medical professionals.

“Earlier today, several outlets reported that my dad was taken to the hospital after a fall. I want to let everyone know that he is fine now. He is being taken care of by wonderful doctors and nurses,” she wrote.

Witherspoon also thanked those who had contacted the family with messages of concern.

“Thank you to everyone who reached out,” she added. “It means the world to our family.”

John was reportedly found face down on concrete near the pool of his condominium in Nashville, Tennessee, after another resident spotted him from a balcony and alerted the building’s doorman.

According to reports, the doorman and building manager found him and checked on his condition before he was taken to hospital.

Nashville Metro confirmed that a medical incident had occurred at the condominium building on Friday and that someone had been transported to hospital, although further details about the incident were not disclosed.

Witherspoon’s update comes after reports of her father’s hospitalisation prompted concern among fans, with the actress’s message offering reassurance that he is now receiving medical attention.
