“It’s either I have my children or I go to jail” – Mr Obasi vows to keep speaking amid ₦1bn lawsuit

Mr Obasi, the estranged former husband of actress Judy Austin, has reacted to the ₦1 billion lawsuit reportedly filed against him, insisting that the legal action will not stop him from demanding access to his children.

Speaking in a recent video shared online, he questioned why he was being sued after speaking publicly about his experience and alleged efforts to reconnect with his children.

In his words, in parts:

“One billion. Mr Obasi has become Central Bank. You sue me one billion. You fit count them? I’m just laughing since yesterday. Some people don’t know the reason why I’m laughing. There is nothing I cannot do to have my children. Just mark my word.”

Why are you hiding my children from me? Why are you manipulating those children? Do you think that lawsuit can scare me away from asking for my children? The answer is no. You don’t know me very well.”

He further referenced the lawsuit, claiming that it stated the last time he contacted Judy was in 2018. He questioned what had happened since then and accused her of allegedly keeping his children away from him.

Mr Obasi also addressed the alleged defamation claim, insisting that he would continue speaking about his experience even if it eventually landed him in prison.

He further recounted an alleged meeting with Judy in Enugu, claiming that they stayed at a hotel, discussed their family issues, had sexual relations and went to Mr Bigg’s the following day to get items for their children.

Mr Obasi maintained that he would continue speaking until he gets what he wants, insisting that the lawsuit would not silence him.
