Pregnant Woman Trapped In Floodwaters, Appeals For Help

A pregnant woman has appealed for urgent assistance after flooding in parts of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, left her stranded inside her home.

In an emotional appeal shared online, the woman said the floodwaters had made it impossible for her to leave the house or carry out her normal daily activities.

She called on relevant authorities, emergency responders, humanitarian organisations and kind-hearted Nigerians to come to her aid and help her evacuate to safety.

The situation has raised fresh concerns over the impact of flooding on vulnerable residents, particularly pregnant women, children, the elderly and people with underlying health needs.

As the flood continues to disrupt movement and access to homes in affected areas, the woman’s appeal underscores the urgent need for emergency intervention and coordinated rescue efforts.

Residents and members of the public who may be able to assist are being urged to respond promptly.
