At 88, Kpop Ham Remains Beacon Of Wisdom, Tradition – Jakadiyan Jaba

The Jakadiyan Jaba and Company Secretary/Legal Adviser, NNPC Gas Marketing, Barrister Deborah Usman, has described the paramount ruler of Ham (Jaba) Chiefdom, His Royal Highness, Dr. Danladi Jonathan Gyet Maude, OON, as a beacon of wisdom, dignity and tradition as the monarch marks his 88th birthday.

Usman, in a goodwill message celebrating the revered traditional ruler, said the milestone provided an opportunity to honour a life defined by service, wisdom, cultural preservation and an enduring commitment to the people.

The Jakadiyan Jaba described the Kpop Ham as one of the respected traditional rulers whose decades of leadership have earned him admiration for his wisdom, dignity and role in safeguarding the traditions and cultural heritage of the Ham people.

She said the monarch’s 88th birthday was not only a celebration of longevity but also a reflection on the value of experience and the legacy he has built over the years.

According to her, the Kpop Ham’s life has remained a testament to the important role traditional institutions play in preserving the identity, history and values of communities.

“Your life has been a royal tapestry woven with service, wisdom and enduring legacy,” Usman said.

She prayed that the monarch’s 88th birthday would herald “another radiant chapter of grace and honour with continued peace, sound health, joy and fulfilment.”

Usman also expressed confidence that the monarch’s wealth of experience and wisdom would continue to inspire generations, describing his presence on the traditional throne as a source of guidance and stability.

The Jakadiyan Jaba noted that the Kpop Ham’s long years of traditional leadership had given him a unique place in the history and cultural life of the Ham people, stressing the importance of preserving the values and traditions handed down through generations.
