Afrobeats star Davido has denied claims that he sent flirtatious messages to a South African woman who shared screenshots allegedly showing a conversation between them.

The woman, identified as Lethabo on social media, posted screenshots in which an account appearing to belong to Davido allegedly complimented her and asked about her background.

“Hey, you are such a pretty girl. Lethabo is a rare name. Where are you from?” the alleged message read.

Davido, however, dismissed the screenshots as fake and said the Instagram message interface shown in the images did not match his account.

The singer also threatened legal action against the woman, accusing her of fabricating the exchange for attention.

“Who’s this bastard! Better stop it before you get your dùmb ass sued! Stop f…. around,” he wrote.

Davido questioned why some adults had accepted the screenshots as genuine and urged social media users to compare the alleged conversation with what he said was the actual appearance of his Instagram messages.

“That’s just a teenager fishing for attention online, and y’all falling for it,” he added.
