The All Support Groups Network for APC has said over the last three years, Nigeria’s landscape has witnessed a seismic shift from consumption to production and from uncertainty to stability.
Alhaji Muktar Bala Ibrahim, national coordinator/CEO, All Support Groups Network for APC (ASGN), who addressed a press conference in collaboration between the ASGN and The Progressive Institute (TPI-Abuja), said to tackle the menace of banditry and kidnapping in the hinterlands, the current administration has recruited and trained 139,000 Forest Guards.
“Perhaps one of the most stunning feats of this administration is the management of our national treasury. Under PBAT’s leadership, Nigeria’s foreign reserves increased from $3 billion to $51 billion,” he said.
The director-general of TPI-Abuja, Dr Olanrewaju Adebayo, in his speech, thanked the secretary to the government of the federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, for his support, contributions and role in stabilising the administration.
He said the President has simplified our tax system. “By eliminating ‘nuisance taxes’ and focusing on efficiency, the government has expanded the tax base without increasing the burden on the poor or small business owners.
