Eid-Maulud: Kwara Speaker, Ilorin Emir Urge Muslims To Uphold Justice, Kindness

The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, and the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, have urged Muslims to use the Eid-Maulud celebration to strengthen community bonds and uphold the values of justice, fairness, equity and kindness.

In separate messages to mark the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, the Speaker and the Emir called on Muslims to reflect on the teachings and virtues of the Prophet and apply them in their daily lives.

Danladi-Salihu, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sheu Yusuf, congratulated the Muslim Ummah in Kwara State, Nigeria and across the world on the occasion.

The Speaker urged Muslims to use the celebration to renew their commitment to building a more prosperous and harmonious Kwara State.

He stressed the importance of promoting fairness, justice and mutual understanding as part of efforts to strengthen peaceful coexistence and community development.

Similarly, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, urged Muslims to reflect on the noble virtues of Prophet Muhammad, including humility, compassion, tolerance, honesty and service to humanity.

Sulu-Gambari made the call in a goodwill message issued by his spokesman, Dr Abdulazeez Arowona.

“Eid-Maulud is not just a celebration, it is a call to emulate the exemplary life of Prophet Muhammad,” the Emir said.

He urged the Muslim faithful to translate the teachings of the Prophet into practical acts of kindness, tolerance and service to society.

The Emir also prayed Allah to accept the prayers and sacrifices of Muslims and grant Nigeria’s leaders the wisdom to steer the country towards growth, stability and peaceful development.
