Kaduna Has Achieved Modest Peace, Tranquility, Gov Sani Declares

Governor Uba Sani has said Kaduna State has achieved modest peace and tranquility, stressing that he embraces everyone, irrespective of religion or tribe.

Governor Sani, who stated this during the annual Maulud Nabiyyi celebrations at Murtala Mohammed Square in Kaduna yesterday, said the significance of the Maulud celebration lies in people reflecting on and emulating the exemplary character of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

“We are all gathered here today to emulate the prophet and his lifestyle. We are all aware that he embraced everyone, irrespective of religion and ethnicity. This is the significance of this gathering,” he said.

According to Governor Sani, “if we emulate the teachings and the lifestyle of Prophet Muhammad(SAW), we will live peacefully as a society and a nation at large.”

The governor recalled that when the Prophet (SAW) migrated from Makkah to Madina, he governed inclusively, regardless of whether people were Muslims or Christians.

“In this gathering, there are people of different faiths; some are Muslims, and others are Christians. This is because in Kaduna, we don’t judge you by your religion but by your character,” he added.

Sani pointed out that this approach to governance had been yielding positive outcomes, adding that “I am happy today that we are living peacefully and in harmony.”

Earlier, the chairman of Fityanul-Islam, Sheikh Rabiu Abdullahu Zaria, said that Governor Sani has been supporting religious activities since he assumed office.
