Bandits have released the member 7 of the Niger State Independent Electoral Commission Barrister Mohammed Ahmed Wawa abducted last year September.
LEADERSHIP reported that Barrister Ahmed was abducted along New Bussa Ibbi road last year on his way from weekend at his hometown Wawa by the armed men and was still held in captivity after Paying N40 million.
A family member Ayuba Abubakar told LEADERSHIP that the Bandits however released him Wednesday night after paying an undisclosed additional Money.
He said the Bandits released him to the family along Funtua axis between Katsina and Zamfara state boundaries about 7 pm Wednesday night.
” We are currently on our way to Minna , we will take him for comprehensive medical checks if we reach Minna,” he told LEADERSHIP when asked the condition of the released abductee.
